Bonell Ryan specializes in matching executive-level staff with leading companies in the financial services, energy, technology and healthcare fields. Their previous site was quite outdated and was undermining their reputation and their business. So, they came to okellydesign to help turn it around and position the company in a better way.

As their primary clients are both the senior staff in corporate human resources, or the c-level candidates themselves, the site had to be concise, professional and easy to navigate. The overall design reinforces these attributes through a sharply put-together modular layout. The content drives the layout on each page, with the left and right sides expanding or reducing as needed to perfectly fit the text, emphasizing how Bonell Ryan so expertly matches candidates with the right positions.

The site is designed to help streamline the search process for clients, making it easy to see what areas Bonell Ryan specialize in, an overview of the search process, as well as providing resources such as tips for conducting interviews. Candidates can also submit their resumés for consideration through a customized form which filters information in the Bonell Ryan servers, making it easier for them to find talent, and reducing the amount of inappropriate applications they receive.

The homepage and interior pages feature a series of images which help to set the tone of who Bonell Ryan work with and what they do. The interior images tie together to underline where they work (New York and San Francisco / Los Angeles) and the types of buildings (and the companies within them) that they serve. Each page features an addition navigation method in the right sidebar, as well as options for sharing the site through various relevant social media.

As part of the project, I also designed a new identity for Bonell Ryan. The identity reinforces the sense of contemporary professionalism throughout the site. The primary typeface is Whitney and the secondary is Archer, both from Hoefler and Frére Jones. Both typefaces relate to New York through their geometry and elegance, and also in being used for the I♥NY logo in the case of Archer.
