DotGo Website

Site design for a mobile technology start-up company

DotGo is an exciting new technology company. The co-founders have created a new text messaging language that enables all internet content to be distributed via text message simply by texting the company name (or url) to their SMS number DOTCOM (368266). They came to MSDS to create a website that could promote and explain this new service while also helping to build a community of users and publishers.

The homepage design was done by Creative Director Matthew Schwartz, who then tasked me with building out the page templates for the remainder of the site, 12 different types in all. Each page presented its own unique challenge, most notably the simulator and forum pages. Alongside that, we decided to create an icon system to help clarify the content, and to help users to more easily navigate and understand the content. Once interior pages were finalised, the homepage was tweaked to bring it into line with them design-wise. I also designed the overall site background.

The site and brand were recently launched to great acclaim and extensive media coverage. You can learn more about DotGo and see the finalised site design here.
