Integrated Printing and Graphics (IPG) is a full-service firm specializing in handling printing and design for their clients. However, their online presence was quite behind the times and did not relate their creativity and knowledge to their clients in a resonant way.
IPG approached okellydesign to devise and create an online strategy and associated website that could not only enhance their reputation and increase their visibility, but that could also become an integral part of their offering through added value.
The design builds on the established IPG brand palette and colors and motifs, used in a very different manner more appropriate to contemporary design and web considerations. The core grey color is used as a base to set off the sites content and the softer accent colors. A strict grid based on a dot pattern binds all the sites elements together, and emphasizes their attention to detail and consistency. Using typography to drive the aesthetic allowed for an elegance across the site, especially with the beautiful and interesting SoHo typeface for display sizes, supported with Titillium and Crimson for body copy.
The added value comes through a proprietary client access area in which clients can monitor their print accounts, initiate projects and send files to IPG, track project history and easily reprint past projects as necessary. This system allows IPG to have all their project files in one place and creates a buy-in for clients which will hopefully encourage them to return for their following projects then.
The site has ben a huge success, and has also been recognized with an award in the GD USA American Graphic Design Awards. See it for yourself here >
