Coupons Inc is the corporate parent of Coupons.com, one of the top 100 most visited sites on the internet. The company is an online marketing partner to some of the largest retailers in the world. They offer a proprietary online printable coupon system.
This brochure and folder were designed while working with MSDS to also establish the Coupons Inc brand style. Many aspects of the final design were also incorporated into the overall brand architecture afterwards. As it was purely for business to business usage, a more minimal and corporate styling was required. The piece was created to explain the business model and how Coupons Inc’s technology could help its partners.
I employed strong lines and colour fields to break up the spreads and guide the reader through the information. A photographic series following a couple shopping with coupons underscored the message, used at full page size to balance the text. Engaging and easily accessible infographics gave all pertinent data at a glance, aided by classically strong typography which broke down the content to highly manageable bites.
The one-sheet system was designed to specifically show aspects of the technology behind Coupons.com, answering questions that may be had by potential business partners regarding how it works, security issues and so on. The pieces were designed to be engaging and accessible, but not too ‘designed’ given the serious nature of the content. The now established colour hierarchy and typography was employed across each sheet, and a strong grid ensured that the pieces were easy to update and evolve when necessary.
